Support for Women During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a beautiful experience that so many women dream of—but it can also be incredibly hard, and people rarely talk about the heavy parts.
The constant anxiety of keeping your baby safe. Holding your breath at every ultrasound, praying to hear that heartbeat. Panic setting in if you haven't felt a kick in a while. Googling every single thing you eat and drink, terrified you might cause harm.
You are trying to balance the desire to stay active for your health, while feeling completely exhausted as your body grows a human life. Meanwhile, you are dealing with unsolicited advice on what you "should" be doing, and people asking when you’ll have the next one—when you are just trying to survive this pregnancy.
Then comes the impending labor and delivery, and the intense pressure to do it "the right way." I have news for you: every birth is both beautiful and life-giving. Let go of the pressure. A healthy mom and a healthy baby are what matter most.
You don’t have to carry these hidden fears alone. Let’s walk through these emotions together.
Postpartum & the Transition to Motherhood
I want whoever is reading this to know: You are a mom. Not “just a mom.” That title carries immense weight, power, and significance.
But I also know that alongside the fierce love and joy, there may also be heavy exhaustion, deep uncertainty, anxiety, and loneliness. You might be navigating painful shifts in your relationships, a changing identity, or the guilty feeling that motherhood isn't quite what you expected it to be.
Those hidden experiences deserve space, too.
Nido de Luz is a warm, protective nest—a compassionate sanctuary where you can unpack these changes, reconnect with who you are, and feel deeply held as you adjust to this new season of life. Together, we will look at your new day-to-day routine and uncover the incredible strengths you already possess to conquer the hard days. We will also map out real, reliable support systems so you have a village to lean on whenever times get tough.
Pregnancy Loss & Grief
Pregnancy loss is an indescribable heartbreak. Please know this: no matter when your loss occurred—whether it was at 5 weeks, 15 weeks, or 30 weeks—you lost your baby. I offer you my deepest, most heartfelt condolences.
This type of loss carries a complex web of emotions. There is the painful longing for what could have been—imagining how your baby would have changed your life. There are the cruel physical reminders of a pregnancy that ended too soon, often followed by the heavy, misplaced guilt of wondering, "Was this my fault?"
If you have gone on to have subsequent pregnancies, you may find yourself trying to hold space for the joy of a new child while still carrying profound grief. The anxiety and fear that it could happen again can be overwhelming—especially if you felt dismissed by a medical system that treated your heartbreak as "common" or something that "just happens to everyone."
Your feelings are valid. Your loss was real, and you were—and always will be—that baby’s mother.
Together, we will process these emotions while honoring your unique path forward. Whether that means finding a meaningful way to honor your baby’s memory, navigating the intense anxiety of a subsequent pregnancy, or developing coping skills to quiet the fearful thoughts, you do not have to carry this grief alone.
